The recognition acknowledged the role deepfake detection can play in protecting financial institutions and their customers across onboarding, servicing, claims and investigations.
Recognition at FINSEC 2025
Neural Defend was named a runner-up in the DSCI FINSEC 2025 Innovation Box in Mumbai.
The Innovation Box brought security companies before a jury of financial-services and investment leaders to present technologies built for the sector. Neural Defend was recognized alongside Oniber Software, with Levo.ai receiving the winner's recognition.
For our team, the result was an important acknowledgement of the role deepfake detection can play in protecting financial institutions and their customers.
Presenting the deepfake threat to financial workflows
Deepfakes are moving quickly from isolated online content into fraud workflows. Synthetic faces can be used during onboarding. Cloned voices can influence customer-support and payment processes. Manipulated images, videos and documents can affect claims, account recovery and investigations.
Our FINSEC presentation focused on making these risks detectable inside the workflow where a decision is being made.
Neural Defend's technology is designed to inspect multiple media types and return signals that fraud, cybersecurity, compliance and operations teams can review. This approach helps organizations add another layer of protection without replacing the systems they already use.
Building from this milestone
The runner-up recognition strengthened our resolve to make deepfake detection practical for banks, fintech companies, insurers and other organizations managing high-risk digital interactions.
Since FINSEC, we have continued developing our multimodal detection platform, deployment options and integrations for teams that need to review digital media at speed.
We thank the jury for the thoughtful discussion and DSCI for giving cybersecurity companies a platform focused specifically on the needs of financial services.
