What GetReal does, according to GetReal
GetReal Security sells the GetReal Trust and Authenticity Platform. On its homepage it lists four products. GetReal Protect covers real-time digital communications such as meetings and calls. GetReal Inspect automates forensic content verification. GetReal Prepare helps organisations build resilience to malicious synthetic content, and GetReal Respond gives access to synthetic content experts.
GetReal says it detects manipulated and synthetic media across video, voice and image files, and in live streams. It describes layered content analysis that includes forensic, pixel, provenance, biometric and behavioural checks, plus identity authentication during live interactions and threat intelligence that maps repeat attackers. Its stated use cases include candidate fraud, IT help desk social engineering, contact centres and executive impersonation. The homepage does not list deployment options or named integrations.

Who are the best GetReal alternatives?
The right alternative depends on which GetReal product you are replacing. For forensic verification, the job GetReal Inspect does, look at Neural Defend NeuroDetect and Sensity. For live calls and meetings, the job of GetReal Protect, look at Reality Defender, which analyses audio, video and images across live calls, meetings and uploaded files, or at Pindrop for contact-centre voice. For automated checks inside identity and onboarding flows, Neural Defend NeuroVerify is the strongest documented option.
| Alternative | Replaces which GetReal job | Vendor-stated strengths | Deployment (vendor-stated) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neural Defend NeuroDetect | Inspect (forensic verification) | Case workspace, heatmap and attention views to frame and region, LLM-assisted summary, downloadable forensic report | Managed cloud, private cloud/VPC, secure container, on-premises, air-gapped |
| Neural Defend NeuroVerify | Automated checks in identity flows | Six signals per call, <200 ms p95 on eligible image requests, #1 of 36 on VendorBench-100 | Same five models |
| Reality Defender | Protect (calls and meetings) | Audio, video and images across live calls, meetings and files; free tier of 50 audio or image scans a month | "Tailored to your environment" |
| Sensity | Inspect (forensic evidence) | Video, image and audio analysis; reports it calls court-ready; API, SDK and web app | Cloud and on-premise |
GetReal vs Neural Defend: how do they compare for media verification?
Both vendors serve investigators, and both reach beyond forensics into live and identity use cases. The differences are in what each publishes. Neural Defend publishes a benchmark position: on VendorBench-100 v2, a public test of 36 systems on 100 adversarial still images, it ranked first with an MCC of 0.876 and specificity of 0.857. One VendorBench author also co-authored Neural Defend's ARCAS 1B paper; the corpus and results are public so anyone can rerun them. We did not find a GetReal result to cite, so detection quality between the two has to be tested on your own files.
For investigators, NeuroDetect keeps each analysis inside a case with model and version context, shows the original next to explainability heatmaps and attention views down to regions, frames and audio segments, and produces a plain-language summary linked to that evidence. The downloadable forensic report records observations, uncertainty, provenance, model context and analyst notes, and the analyst makes the final determination. GetReal emphasises access to human experts through GetReal Respond, which some teams will value for high-profile incidents.
On deployment, Neural Defend lists managed cloud, private cloud/VPC, secure container, on-premises and air-gapped options, scoped during evaluation. GetReal's homepage does not state its deployment models, so ask directly if evidence must stay inside your boundary.

Does Neural Defend cover the same modalities as GetReal?
Largely, with different packaging. GetReal lists video, voice, images and live streams. Neural Defend covers images, audio, video and documents in the NeuroDetect forensic workspace; face images, video and audio in the NeuroVerify API; and live voice calls in NeuroCall, which is in Beta. NeuroVerify does not analyse ID documents. If your GetReal use centres on live video meetings, confirm scope with Neural Defend during evaluation, because Neural Defend's meeting product is not yet available.
How do I switch from GetReal to Neural Defend?
Switch in five steps and keep GetReal running until the last one. The cutover timeframe depends on how many workflows use GetReal and your change-control process; the NeuroVerify integration itself can be live in under 24 hours, while forensic teams usually need a few weeks of side-by-side case review.
- Inventory: list every workflow, file type and team that uses GetReal, plus any reports or exports your legal process depends on.
- Map outputs: match GetReal results and report fields to NeuroDetect report sections or NeuroVerify status and risk fields, and decide how unscored media is represented.
- Parallel test: run a set of closed cases and known-genuine files through both tools and compare findings, false positives and analyst time.
- Shadow live work: analyse new cases in both for two to four weeks without changing decisions.
- Cut over with rollback: move one workflow at a time, archive GetReal case records under your retention policy, and keep access until the last open case closes.

What to keep in mind before replacing GetReal
No forensic tool proves a file genuine. Every vendor here returns indicators that an analyst weighs with provenance, context and other evidence. Expert services such as GetReal Respond are not something a software swap replaces, so decide whether you need that capability separately. And because the only shared benchmark covers still images, test voice and video performance on your own material.
Write down your acceptance criteria before the trial starts. Useful ones are the share of known-manipulated files each tool flags, the number of genuine files it wrongly flags, how long an analyst takes to reach a conclusion with each tool, and whether the exported report would satisfy your legal or compliance reviewers. Score the tools on closed cases where the answer is already known, so the comparison does not depend on the tools themselves.
Why teams pick Neural Defend as their GetReal alternative
Neural Defend gives one detection model, ARCAS 1B, behind both investigator and automated workflows. The ARCAS paper reports pooled accuracy in Table 1 of 99.99% on GenImage, 99.92% on WildFake and 97.74% on Community Forensics. Teams get forensic depth in NeuroDetect, a six-signal API in NeuroVerify for onboarding and recovery, deployment down to air-gapped, and ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO/IEC 42001 and SOC 2 Type II certification.
Evidence boundary
Limitations
- GetReal facts come from GetReal's homepage on 19 October 2026; its deployment options and integrations are not stated there.
- VendorBench-100 covers still images only, and we cite no GetReal result from it; one VendorBench author co-authored the ARCAS 1B paper.
- Neural Defend's meeting product is not yet available, so live meeting coverage is not a like-for-like replacement for GetReal Protect today.
